Doesn't Shermie look a little shinier than normal?

Today is the hottest day of the summer so far. I don't really have a way to tell the temperature so I really don't know if it's true. My only indicator is that I went out of the house this morning around 10 wearing a fitted brown t-shirt. Bad choice! I came back in 15 minutes later sweating everywhere. There's nowhere to hide when you're wearing brown. Anyway, it is dang humid here. Whenever you touch anyone who is normal their skin is wet, as is my own. Fortunately, I like hot weather. I do prefer the heat in the desert over this kind of humid heat by far.

My entire childhood was spent in the same house on El Gato Ln. Our backyard was blessed with three very tall redwood trees. They must have started growing separately about three feet from eachother but by the time I was a child their trunks had grown together so that it looked like three trees growing from one root. I guess it's the same way with people. If you spend enough time with someone you start thinking like them. I haven't been married with my husband that long. 6 years. When I have a conversation with him I ask about things and people in a certain way that I guess I wouldn't ask other people. He also answers me in a way that I understand. I understand things from his voices tone. I understand things from his choice of words whether they literally mean what he's trying to describe. My husband could mean several different things when he uses the word "bad". It's all in the context with that word. I'm not sure what my patterns are when I speak. Do we ever really pay attention to what we say that might seem strange to others? I haven't really. I just know I'm excited to talk to Jonathan on the phone tonight. Two more days until he's back!

I know how you feel. It has been so hot here 106 or above and I have such a hard time going out because of it.

Dang, I wish I had known he was coming. Then I could have prepared a little package for him to take home for you. You are SO brave Christine! And still missed, btw.

You are so homesick! Talking about the good old redwood tree. I read those girlie books the Twilight series I secretly like them but don't tell any of my man friends they will think I have gone soft. Awesome books except for the reminder on every other page about the color of his damn eyes. I get it lady I am going to send her some eyeballs with "liquid gold" colored contacts just to make her happy. Other than that one point awesome books. I have yet to read your host book.
