From Dipsy to Plex

We're celebrating my nephews birthday tomorrow. He's five and he's diligent and a bit nerdy in a cute five year old sort of way. His favorite tv program is Yo Gabba Gabba. I'd never heard of it until this year when he filled me in that he didn't like Teletubbies anymore. He was so loyal to his Teletubbies. It kind of makes me sad. My husband and I would tell him, "Dipsy is lame." He would defend him with such determination to the point of tears. Now he just tosses his old Teletubby dolls around and says he's going to sell them on Ebay. (I share my mother's belief that toys have feelings.)
Anyway, his party theme is Yo Gabba Gabba. I've decided to make him a pinata of one of the characters. Plex. When I told his parents that I'd do it I had full confidence that I could. I made my son the coolest Thomas the Tank Engine pinata for his 3rd birthday. How much more difficult could Plex be? Well, it's not more difficult. The only problem is that I just started tonight and his party is tomorrow. I'm such a procrastinator. I should be drying the wet mass with my hairdryer at this very moment but no...here I am click, click, clicking away at the keyboard.

My kids LOVE that show. They only get to watch two cartoons each day and that's one of them. (Which I really don't understand, but whatever!) Anyway, we even made them iron-on shirts with the characters in December, which they loved. Emma's favorite character is Plex too, so if making this pinata works out well for you, I might ask you for instructions later! :)

Wow! I'm impressed that you make pinatas! Cool.
