Tuesday

Tuesday I love you, Tuesday I love you! I don't really have to leave the house on Tuesday if I don't want to. I don't have to work. All I really have to do is get the kids to school and back which is difficult at the time but only lasts a little while, 10 minutes there, 5 minutes back. Anyway, today I woke up, dragged my jelly-bellied body out for a run. If you've ever eaten real turkish delight, the kind without nuts, that's the kind of substance I feel like my body is turning into. Yuck! I'm definitely squeezable right now. It snowed last night, just a little. Just enough for there to be snow on each car that lined the street. So after finally getting the kids out the door we spent some time sliding the snow off the cars in the parking lot of our building. The kids were sparkly eyed and in a state of wonderment (as my father would probably say). Actually he would probably say "It is truly a marvelous work and a wonder what we are witnessing today. . ." He likes to jest at the General Conference jargon because he doesn't feel the sacrilege. He's not a member. Forgive him. Forgive me. Anyway, after the wonderment, getting inside the doors of the school before they got soaking wet, getting back home, eating breakfast, and getting Cinci to actually sit in the stroller, we were out the door again to go to Tuesday's market Bazaar shin dig jamboree. Yee haw! I bought garlic, feta cheese Trojan style, turkish string cheese, parsley, dill, lettuce, oranges, lemons, pine nuts, dried apricots, brown dried apricots, raisins, and green peppers. On my way out I promised Cinci I would buy him a simit.

Unfortunately, the simit man didn't have change for a twenty. I left with Cinci wailing. Poor baby. I appeased him with a few raisins. Soon we came upon the second simit seller. No change either. The wailing began again. Finally we came upon a small pastry shop. They did not have simit but they did have a cash register and several items in their display window that looked simit like. I bought what I like to call Simit Sticks. They really aren't. They are just covered with a whole bunch of black seeds and sesame seeds so they look sort of the same. Cinci was satisfied. As I huffed and puffed up the hills, Cinci ate four or five of them. Little did I know that the raisins, the kiwi he ate at lunch, and the simit sticks would join forces inside his little tummy to cause the largest blowout since he was a newborn. While I was changing his second blowed out diaper Atticus asked "Why are there black seeds on his pe@/s?"

Cinci is now 2 and has successfully used his pacifier for sleeping until today. When the last pacifier gets literally chewed up, you know it's time to say goodbye to it. Well, today was the day. He hasn't put up a fight yet. Perhaps tomorrow? I'd better get to bed before he wakes up screaming for it.

I was thinking the same thing about my pictures on our blog when I posted that last one. I take more pictures of cori with my phone for sure, because we're always together. My camera, and the rest of the family don't get out much in the crappy weather we're having. Damn groundhog. Sorry, It's driven me to harsh language.
Everyone is so excited for this summer! (for you and the kids to come home)

You've got the best sense of humor, or is it a spiffy sense of sarcasm? Anyway I love reading your blog, I feel like I am actually walking around with you again. :0)
