All Creators listen here!

Creation, creation, creation. Isn't that what women were meant to do? We create in so many ways. From the way we arrange our laundry rooms to masterpiece scrapbooking pages, from crafts to food, from babies to outfits, etc., etc., etc. Anyway, it's kind of hard to find a Michael's or JoAnne's Fabric store here, so my creative powers have taken a turn towards food. Usually I eat whatever (and a lot of it) but here in Turkey there are so many options of fresh fruits and vegetables that I have become a bit more adventurous with my cooking skills. My latest favorite website is Recipezaar.com

It is so helpful in helping my husband fight his urges to eat out all the time. I admit, my tastes in food are not very exciting and my husband suffers from boredom at dinnertime. Shouldn't he get a good meal at dinnertime considering he pays for all the groceries? I'll have you know that he never complains but I have my ways of knowing when he doesn't like something.

Me: Do you want some more of this?

Him: No thanks. (as he scrapes his plate clean)

Me: Don't you like it?

Him: I like it fine.

There it is. I like it fine. That is how I know when he doesn't like something. I like it fine. It really means, "Please don't bother making this again for my sake." So Recipezaar is helping me be a more creative cook. I always search for recipes by "ratings". That way you can get a recipe that other people have tried and liked.

All of you people that are living abroad might find it useful because it has a measurement converter and ingredient substitution ideas.

Awesome. I'll have to look at that sight. I find that searching "easiest and best ___________" usually yields good results, too.

And tastespotting.com. Oh, wow. My friend shared that with me one day and I started baking the next. Talk about yummy!

I use allrecipes.com because they have an ingredient search. I type in what I have, and it spews out recipes that include those ingredients. Cool. I'm all for creative cooking.

There it is.

"I like it fine."

The chuckle that I so very badly needed tonight.

:)

I'm going to check out that site because the reason this post is funny to me is that it's relevant.
